March 2024 Updates

Kia Ora ALoTers,

We have exciting news! For the first time ever, ALoT is hiring!
We have collaborated with Repair Cafe Aotearoa, thanks to funding from Auckland Council, to run a weekly repair cafe and events at ALoT and Hackland. We are now seeking a coordinator to see this project get off the ground. Applications close March 8th.

Save the date!

ALoT will be having our Annual General Meeting on Sunday April 7th, 4pm - 6.30pm. Our Committee is run by our lovely volunteers, all of the decisions we make are made on YOUR behalf. So if you would like to come along and contribute to our discussion about the future of the library we would love for you to join us. Plus, there will be PIZZA!

Nominations are open for Committee members. We are seeking members to join us to help shape the future of the library. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more about the ALoT Committee - you can email us directly at aucklandlibraryoftools@gmail.com

Volunteers Needed!

ALoT is rapidly growing, and in order for us to be open more, and provide an excellent service, we need more volunteers!

Ideally, volunteers can commit on a regular basis, e.g. once a week/fortnight/month. Bonus points for anyone that can do Saturdays!

Please get in touch with us if you'd like to volunteer. Volunteers get a free membership and free loans.

Our next Volunteer Night and General Business Meeting is:
Monday March 4th 5.30pm - 7.30pm.

Volunteer duties commence from 5.30 - 7pm. GBM and PIZZA from 7pm onwards.

Recent tool purchases:

Thank you to Waitemata Local Board for funding these new tools, and thank you to City Power Tools for giving us a sweet discount so we could buy them all!
